“Dungeon” by Julian Beever, created in Belgium (?) in 2007 (?)

This painting has an eerie feel to it. The illusion sells itself wonderfully. You actually feel like there are men in a dungeon in the ground, who are just shy of being able to escape. I can’t imagine actually seeing that type of dungeon in real life, though I’m not sure if that actually existed. Regardless, this painting is quite amazing.
